Case Study #01

While sitting at the desk charting, the ECG monitor alarm at the station goes off and prints out this strip (the top lead is lead II and the bottom lead is lead III). You rush to the room only to find the patient's normal rhythm - atrial fibrillation - is on the monitor. The patient's BP, RR, and SpO2 are all normal. What do you think this rhythm is, and what treatment would you recommend?
